FOLLOW UP TO SSPF'S DAY AT THE RACES EVENT, IOWA SPEEDWAY
Includes a Reprint of a Press Release from the Christian Opportunity Center

We were pleased to welcome several people from the the Christian Opportunity Center in Pella Iowa among the guests at our Day at the Races held at Iowa Speedway on June 19, 2010.  Later, the Center distributed the following press release about the great time their clients had with us:

“An invitation was recently extended to 6 gentlemen and 2 staff from the Christian Opportunity Center from the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation (SSPF) to attend 'Day at the Races' at the Iowa Speedway in Newton. The day included lunch in the  Andretti Autosport Hospitality Tent as well as the opportunity to meet drivers and crew members from several well known racing teams. With the warning of 'Don’t touch the cars!' the group was given a tour of the Iowa Speedway and they were able to get close to many of the race cars! This incredible opportunity was made possible with the help of Mike Olsen of US Bank and Cindy Norton, special events coordinator for the Day at the Races event.

The Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation (SSPF) helps individuals overcome spinal cord injuries and other neurological disorders by funding scientific research, medical treatment, rehabilitation and technology advances. The Foundation also raises funds to improve quality of life issues and ensure the best possible outcomes by touching individual lives.

After becoming spinal cord injured from a crash during a practice session in 2000, Sam Schmidt founded SSPF. Day at the Races was created for individuals with disabling injuries to provide inspiration, information, and explain what Sam Schmidt did when he was diagnosed a quadriplegic.”
